Hereford, Stephen M.
89, of Saint Louis, MO passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, October 25, 2024. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife and best friend, Chrissy Hereford.
Steve is remembered for his sharp wit, sense of humor, and loyal friendship. He was a graduate of Chaminade High School and graduated from Washington University Law School. Steve spent his entire career practicing law, mostly with the firm Gentry, Bryant, and Hereford.
Steve is survived by his oldest son Andrew Hereford, his wife Martha Hereford, and their son James Hereford, along with his youngest son Nicholas Hereford, his wife Erin Hereford, and their children Caitlin Hereford and Evangeline Hereford. There are also many nieces and nephews who remember Steve as their favorite uncle who was always entertaining and quick with a laugh at family gatherings.
Steve enjoyed socializing with friends, traveling and reading. But he loved visiting with and getting updates about his grandkids most of all.
Services: Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 16th at The Church of the Annunziata in Ladue, 9305 Clayton Rd. at Cella Rd., with a funeral Mass following at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to Meals on Wheels of Greater Saint Louis or the American Heart Association.
