Ted Wilson Obituary

Wilson, Ted of St. Charles, MO, died on Friday, July 12, 2013 at the age of 83. Loving husband of Wilma Gail Wilson (nee Smith); beloved son of the late Otis Hart and Mamie Wilson; devoted father of Mark Wilson, Susan (Jeff) Higgins, and David Wilson; cherished grand-father of Joseph (Jessica) Higgins, Caitlin Higgins, James Higgins, Thomas Wilson, and Emmanuelle Wilson; dear father-in-law of Corinne Wilson; dear stepbrother of Estelle Adams; beloved uncle, cousin, and friend to many. He is preceded in death by his stepmother Sylvia Wilson, and stepsister Larue Sledd. Ted was a proud member of the Air Force during the Korean War. After he was discharged, he worked for the United States Army as a civilian employee until he retired at age 62. He managed both Khoury League baseball and basketball teams for many years. During his retirement, he devoted his time to his beloved family, his tomatoes, the Cardinals, and his sorely missed dog, Sally. Services: The family is being served by The BAUE Funeral and Memorial Center, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles, MO where visitation will be held Monday, July 15, 3-8 PM. Funeral Service 10:30 AM, Tuesday, July 16, at Baue Funeral and Memorial Center Chapel, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles, MO. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Visit Baue.com
