Jorgen, Teresa
Age 71, died peacefully on February 1, 2024. She was a daughter, sister, friend, teacher, cousin and advocate. She fought tirelessly for social justice and lavished care on anyone in need. A model of integrity, leadership and dedication, Teresa's outreach extended to every facet of her life.
Teresa graduated from St. Louis University (including studying in Madrid) with a degree in Spanish, and received her Master's degree from Maryville University. She was a beloved high school Spanish teacher and mentor to scores of students, many of whom remained in close touch with her.
Teresa was always an engaged presence in her family. Her siblings appreciated her humor, generosity, her sharing of time, energy and resources. She was a devoted and actively-involved Aunt.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Isabel and Edwin Jorgen, and sister and brother-in-law Alice and Elbert Luedde. She will be greatly missed by her siblings Mary (Larry) Morini, Clare (Rich) Pennington, Walter Jorgen, Kathleen Beard, Margaret Jorgen-Rohde (Steve Rohde) and Patricia Jorgen (Jim Motacki).

Teresa taught my daughter at Parkway South and inspired her to go to Spain and Caitlyn actually got her minor in Spanish! Teresa and I realized one day that I knew her siblings well through growing up. She was always a joy when we were with her. May she rest in peace.

Will always have fond memories of the times we shared with Teresa as colleagues. She always greeted you with a smile and a good thought for the day as well as taking the time to inquire how we were doing.
