Thomas A. Littmann Sr.

Littmann, Thomas Albert Sr. passed away on June 15, 2009. He was born January 6, 1935 in St. Louis, MO to Arthur and Helen McCauley Littmann. He served in the Navy for eight years that included a tour aboard the USS Bataan during the Korean War. He graduated from Washington University with a degree in mechanical engineering. In 1966, he began his career specializing in rotating equipment maintenance and repair. In 1986, he started Worldwide Energy Services Corporation (WESCOR) and serviced companies across the United States. He and his wife, Phyllis Golay Littmann, retired to Florida in 2004. In the spring of 2008 he accepted a Senior Staff Engineer position with Hovensa Oil Refinery on the island of St. Croix, USVI. His dedication to his faith, family, work, and community is well known. He was Chairman and member of the Board of Directors of the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis and was a member of the St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee. In 1992, he began serving on the Executive Committee of the Kilo Diabetes and Vascular Foundation and was Chairman of the Research Committee. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and two grandsons. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis, his five children; Lisa Schillig, Debbie (Terry) Trowbridge, Annie (Cliff) Thacker, Thomas Littmann, Jr. and Jeffrey (Marika) Wissel-Littmann and his five grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers and one sister. Services: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 1 at 10 AM at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, Des Peres, MO.
