Rest In Peace, Tim. I will personally remember you as a co-worker during my days at Dierbergs as a cashier. It was my pleasure to know you and help you out and accommodate your requests at work. You were always kind, polite and soft-spoken as well as a caring and understanding guy. You will be missed. Hope you are doing all the things you love in Heaven. Until we meet again. With great Love —Chad.

I had the pleasure of knowing Tim for 24 years. I met Tim at Maryville University when I was a student, staying on campus and we were in a class together. We had many good times and great memories through years whether it would be baseball games, holiday parties, Six Flags, concerts, meals together, including with his family and friends. Tim had a great love for life and chicken wings. We always had great conversation. Tim was truly a great friend to me. He had a great sense of humor and he could make anybody in a room laugh or smile. His musical talent playing the piano was outstanding. He was one of the most caring, compassionate, understanding, helpful, thoughtful, and generous friend that I have had the privilege of knowing. We truly lost a great person. My prayers and condolences are with the entire Powers family and his girlfriend Katie Ryan. Rest in Peace Tim Powers and may God bless you always in his heavenly kingdom.

Tim was a gentle giant! He was witty and creative, and had a flair for showmanship. My favorite memories of Tim are from the Powers Family Halloween Parties. He made the events special with his musical choices and creative monologues. I know that Tim's loss creates a hole that will not fill up, but my hope for the family is that in time, the love that they shared will provide a measure of solace.

I didnt know Tim too well personally, but as someone who was in the grocery store many times a day for my job I got to talk with him a fair amount. Tim was always friendly and helpful and always said hi when he saw me and asked how I was doing. He was a kind soul and the world is slightly darker without his light shining. 2020 and Covid have taken too many good people from this Earth and unfortunately Tim was one of those good ones we lost. RIP Tim, and hopefully Heaven will treat you well.

To Tim´s family,
I was Tim´s middle and high school band director.
Tim was a talented musician. He worked hard maximizing his talent. Much more that that, Tim was kind. When I told Mark McHale, Tim´s other band director of his passing, his words were, "A kind soul for sure."
I was a better band director, and am a better person for having known Tim.
Please accept my condolences during this difficult time.

Tim Powers was a very nice man with a good heart, and a very good soul. He was a very fun guy to talk to, and to be around with. He would always give me very good advice, whenever I was having a bad day at work. I will miss Tim a lot, but I know that he is in very good hands with the presence of our Lord.

Please except my since condolences to the Powers Family.
I met Time as a Dierbergs checker when he first was
employed. Over the many years I found out that he was
a fan of the Beatles. Upon my return from Liverpool, I brought
back a gift from the Cavern Club, and he never forgot me,
He always made room for my wife and I at his counter.
May he be received by God as the kind and gentle man he was.

I met Tim at work and honestly I didn't get to really know him until the death of his mother. I reached out to him and let him know that I had lost my own mom years before and that I was here to talk to. He took me up on that! At work he always had to pass me going to his register, and he always spoke and asked how I was after that. He was a genuine, sweet, caring, and amazing guy that we will all miss! My condolences to his fiance and family!
To Tim....Rest easy my friend, we all miss and love you!

Mr. Powers, Jim and Mary, John and Katie-
My sincerest sympathies on the loss of sweet Tim. Because I have forced my way into being a Powers family member through Jim, Mary and John, I have had the pleasure of being able to enjoy Tim’s musical talent, his sense of humor and his boyish grin. On the occasions I have been able to be with the extended family, Tim would always greet me with a warm smile and a hug. Tim was a nice man with a kind and friendly demeanor. He will be missed. God’s peace be with each of you.
