Vivian Stites Obituary

Stites, Vivian Irene (Wolff) 92, of Louisville, Ky. passed away Friday, March 20, 2015. A native of St. Louis, Mo., she was a former preschool teacher and director of preschool at Richmond Heights Presbyterian Church in St. Louis, Mo. She also taught at Mary Anita's Preschool and Southeast Christian Church Daycare. Vivian was a member of Lydia Circle, Friendship Sunday School and Southeast Christian Church. She was renowned for her cooking skills and an avid reader. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Breathitt Stites and son-in-law, Donald W Mocker. She is survived by her daughters, Carole L. Mocker and Nancy K. Taylor (David); grandchildren, Jeffrey Mocker (Sherri), Amy Mocker (Brent Larzalere), Stacie Reed (James) and Gregory Taylor (Tabitha); and greatgrandchildren, Grant, Brooke, Peyton, Blake and Molly. Services: Her funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2015 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Louisville, KY with burial in Zachery Taylor Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday at Highlands. Expressions of sympathy may be made to American Alzheimer's Association or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Seneca Place family and staff will miss your sweet Mom. I always called her "Roadrunner!"...She was always on the move. It will be strange not to be there with your family...but now our Moms are walking tall and smiling...and I believe, remembering the good times with us. Hugs, Susan Bullard
