Uncle Bill will be missed terribly by everyone who knew him. There is no doubt he was met by my mom, his little sister Ruthie, as he called her. They were close like twins growing up. When we visited from Salt Lake we always stayed there. He gave great hugs and had the most wonderful laugh. We always had a good time there. He scooped the best ice cream ever, made great shakes. He always had a good story as we sat in the side yard. I'm glad I got a chance to talk with him on my last visit there. I will miss him, but know he is in great company w/his brothers & sisters that passed before him.

I remember lots of times at Uncle Bill's and Aunt Harriets house as I was growing up. There are so many great moments to remember and it is so hard to pick one over another. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. My father was Bill's younger brother (Frank)and when we would come to St. Louis we liked to visit when we could. I love the whole family and hope that all goes well for them. Love you all lots. I am so happy that I was able to come up in July and spend some time with him and Sable and Aunt Harriet. It was a great day for all of us. We know that he is in god's hands and he is smiling down at all of us for remembering all the good times with him and all the family. He is in heaven with all his brothers, sisters, and parents having a grand time. God Bless them all. We love you.

Bill was one of the Great guys. I never saw Bill without Harriet and Sable (his two great loves) by his side. He would come up to us and have a huge smile and a big hug to match. His stories about his Sable where alway fun to listen to and Harriet would be there with the same huge smile helping Bill with his stories. How we love this couple. Bill and Sable both are now a peace. Our hearts go out to you Harriet. After all the years you and Bill had together It wont be easy. Please know that you are in our Prayers.

Uncle Bill was a wonderful person and Uncle. I have so many fond memories growing up. My Mom the late Dorothy Chronister was the oldest sister of the family and even though we lived 2 hours away we would see Uncle Bill's family a lot. I remember late nights at his house, our house, and the lake Uncle Bill, Aunt Harriett, Mom and Dad would spend hours playing pinochle, a card game that I still don't understand. We were allowed to watch but don't ask or say a word, while the game was going on, better be able to fend for yourself or hope that an older sibling or cousin would help you get a drink of some popcorn. He loved to come down and get fresh tomatoes from my Dad and eat my Moms home made cream puffs. When we would come up Uncle Bill would make sure that we had lots of White Castles to eat (well at least make sure that someone else got them for us.) I know Uncle Bill loved his wife, his kids, his family, his roses, his dog Sable and God. I'm so glad that my daughter Kristy, grandkids and I were able to come up for a visit in July. He will always be in my heart and my prayers. May God hold and keep him and Sable until we are all reunited and may he keep and hold all of his loved ones to ease our heavy hearts in our time of sorrow. Love Doreen (Chroinster) Hayse

Dear Clipper Family,
My deepest sympathy. Bill was a wonderful guy, I so enjoyed seeing him at Greyhound events, he always made me laugh. God Bless Bill and Sable.
