JoAnn and family,
After I heard of Bill's passing, all that came to my mind was all the great stories I remember of Bill, my dad, Steve Mizerany and all the characters from the days at the old Broadway store. He will be greatly missed, especially his laughter.

We were very saddened to hear of Bill's passing. He was such a kind and generous man who treated everyone like they were old friends. He never let you get past the meat counter without saying hello! Our prayers and thoughts are with your through this difficult time.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Bill's family. It was an honor and privledge to have known him. He always had a smile and kind words whenever he greeted you. BILL WAS A LIFE LONG FAMILY FRIEND HE HAS KNOW MY FAMILY ALL MY LFE STARTING ON THE SOUTH SIDE AT TOM BOYS HE DELIVERED FOOD TO OUR HOUSE WHEN MOM OR DAD WAS SICK HE SUPPLIED THE MEAT FOR MY GRANDPARENTS BAR ON THE SOUTH SIDE AND WHEN I MOVED OUT HERE AND WALKED INTO THE STORE I REMEMBERED THE FANS BLOWING AND I HEARD BILLS VOICE FROM THE MEAT COUNTER NOW HE COULDN'T REMEMBER OUR NAMES AND ALL I COULD SAY WAS BILL? BOB? AND HE SAID TO ME KUBE GIRL THERE WAS 3 OF US WHEN MY DAD PASSED THIS PAST DEC BILL CAME OUT FROM BEHIND THE COUNTER AT HIS BUSY TIME EVRYONE ORDERING THERE CHRISTMAS HAMS AND TURKEYS TO GIVE ME A HUG AND SAY HE WAS SORRY TO HEAR MY DAD HAD PASSED WELL BILL I HAVE ONE REQUEST TELL DAD I GOT THE HAM AND I AM DOING FINE YOUR FAMILY WILL BE IN MY THOUGHTS ALWAYS DEBBIE KUBE HIDUK

My husband Charlie and I were honored to have Uncle Bill as one of our groomsmen in our wedding 12 years ago. I'll never forget your laughing and having so much fun that day and each time that we saw you. You knew how to make life so much fun! Aunt Joann we are praying for you and your family.

My deepest sympathy to the Gebhart family,I worked at Bill's for 3 years,he was a very business minded person who always put the customers first,and always had time to talk to everyone,he had a great sense of humor,I remember he would always tell me to slow down when I answered the phone, then he would turn around and start talking fast back to me,it was funny the way he would do that,i had fun working there. he will be sadly missed by all.

I've lived in Vegas for 15 years and everytime I bar-b-que I tell my family stories of the great butcher I used to go to for years and his sauce. He will not go unforgotten. His legacy will remain nationwide!

Our prayers are with the family and friends of this tough time. The store will be very quiet without him running around but I'm sure bill jr will keep his spirit alive. Every time I came in there with my son Bill Sr would give him a big bag of candy which I thanked him for later that night as my son wouldn't go to sleep lol. my dad and brother worked for him for years and he was very good to them and me. Thanks bill for everything you will be missed.

Dear Gebhart Family,
I am deeply saddened to hear of Bill's passing. When I was a young mother raising my 3 boys, he offered my Jason (15 at the time) a job working in his meat shop. Jason looked up to and respected Bill and quickly became part of "Bill's family." He was a such a cheerful soul always offering a lively how do you do from behind the counter.
I am happy to have known him. Thank you Jesus for giving us Bill. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

My Uncle Bill was My hero growing up in South St. Louis. As I grew into a man I realized more and more what a great role model he was. A great athlete, a super business man, wonderful husband and father. He was tough as nails (he could scare you with one mean glare) yet kind and gentle. I never heard him utter an unkind word about my Aunt whom he adored and if someone ever dreamed about saying something unkind about anyone in his family it was obvious they were going to need medical care by the time Uncle Bill was through. He will be missed by everyone that ever came in contact with him. I will miss you Uncle Willie. Thanks for leaving this nephew many fond memories.
