95, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, passed peacefully on July 8, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy E. (Weick) Linek for 63 years and dear companion of the late Virginia Frederich; dear father of Joanne (the late Robert) Rischbieter (friend of Joseph Huchowski), the late Shirley (Ronald) Unger, Lois (Ken) Hessler, Annette (Richard) Callison, William (Therese) Linek, James (Cynthia) Linek and Christopher (Laura) Linek; loving grandfather of 18; great-grandfather of 31; dear brother of the late Francis (Virginia) Linek, the late Joseph (Jane) Linek and the late Maryann (Tony) Kuhn, dear uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend.
Bill attended St. Wenceslaus Elementary School and graduated from St. Louis University High School in 1946. He served in the U.S. Army and then joined the family plumbing business started by his father in 1916, along with his brother Joe. He worked at other plumbing companies and then returned to the family business in the early 1960's. Working with his brother Joe, expanded the business and passed it to the next generation, leaving a legacy of quality service to the St. Louis area for over 100 years. Dedicated to the plumbing industry, he held many offices, including President of the Plumbing Industry Council, Plumbing Contractors Association, the Missouri Association of Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Contractors and held positions for the National Association of Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Contractors. He was generous and loving family man, who enjoyed traveling, golf, baseball, hockey, crossword puzzles and Wheel of Fortune.

Services: Visitation at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church, 11910 Eddie & Park Rd. 63126, on Monday, July 15, from 9:00 a.m. until Funeral Mass time at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Kutis Affton Service.
