Sciortino, Dr. William
born November 24, 1955, died July 20, 2024. He was surrounded by those who loved him. His family, who were all there when he needed them most and his friends both near and far, all hoped for the best.
The best was not to be, and we mourn his passing with the deepest sorrow and disbelief that this strong, powerful, brilliant and funny man will no longer be with us.
A bon vivant who loved travel, fine food, gardening, biking and so many things that can't be captured in a few lines.
Bill is survived by his wife Amy (Kibler) his daughters, Emily Unger (Robert) and Madeline Sciortino (Clayton Schaeffer), his siblings, Francesca Sciortino, Dr. Rosellen Meystrik and Dr. Robert Sciortino (Dr. Patricia McGuire) and preceded in death by John Sciortino.
Services: Visitation will be held at Bopp Chapel Friday, August 2nd, 4-8 p.m. A memorial Mass will be at the St. Louis Abbey at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 3rd. In lieu of flowers, contributions are gratefully appreciated to Pedal the Cause and Eye Thrive.

I was so sad to see this notice. I knew he had to be sick to leave his practice so abruptly. After hearing my family eye history he had me come in every 4months for the past 12 years. He was a great eye doctor. I´m going to miss him. My condolences!

I am so very sorry and really shocked to hear about Dr. Sciortino passing. I was a longtime patient and was due to see him on 8/8. He seemed so active and healthy and I always joked about getting old. I'm 77, and he will be missed!

So sorry to hear this.
Bill was a beloved member of the SLU medical school class of 1982.
We really enjoyed seeing him at the reunions.
My sister was a patient of his and said he was the Best!
Your family is in our prayers as you go through this tragic time
