Aunt Zoe had a great sense of humor & fun which made her a great dining/party companion. Probably the most vibrant memory I have of her is when I was about 12/3 yrs old and she gave her trampoline to us. The problem was, how to get the trampoline from her house to our house (total distance traveled 1/3m)? Someone may come along and correct the story, but in MY mind, Aunt Zoe, my father and one other young man carried that trampoline the whole way. Maybe not all at once, but it only took about half an hour for those 3 to carry it that distance. I remember being amazed - nay, flabbergasted! - at her strength. Everyone knew my father was a big 'ole burly man, but Aunt Zoe was out there heave-for-ho and never complained once. Years later, my sister helped to carry the trampoline back to Wesley's (Aunt Zoe's former) house in the same fashion and I couldn't help but recall its first trip. I will always remember her as as strong - and strong willed - woman who could do anything she set her mind to.

I will forever remember Aunt Zoe for her sharp wit and wonderful no-nonsense way of getting on with everything. Not only was she a very strong woman, she was also one half of a very generous couple. She will be greatly missed.
