Constance Traina Obituary
Our beloved matriarch, Constance Theresa Traina, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at the age of 95. Born in Corona, CA on September 19, 1929 to Anthony and Minnie Lo Porto. Due to the loss of her parents at an early age she was raised by her three loving Aunts, Rose Cena, Carmel Oddi, and Nancy Cottell.
After graduating from High School, Connie traveled to San Jose to spend a summer with an Aunt & Uncle. It was there that she met the love of her life, Anthony Traina, and married Tony in 1948. In 1952, the Traina family moved to Tracy to farm cherries, apricots, and walnuts. As a farmers wife, Connie played a vital part in the business.
Connie will be remembered fondly by many for her kindness, warmth, generosity, and strength. Connie touched people of all generations and especially with children she was gentle and attentive. With her peers she was a loyal friend whose thoughtfulness always shown through, and with Elders she was respectful and sincere. In all of her relationships, her generous nature and caring spirit were evident.
She was a resident of Tracy for 72 years and a lifelong member of St. Bernards Church. She enjoyed cooking fabulous Italian meals, gardening, golfing with the "happy hackers", and traveling worldwide with her beloved Tony.
Connie is survived by her son, Gary (Linda), and daughter-in-law Diane; Grandchildren Brian (Cassie), Jason (Kellen), Alyssa; Great grandchildren Tessa, Anthony, Taylor, Eden, and Razio; Nephews Wayne (Nancy) and Keith and many great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by numerous relatives.
Connie was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Minnie, devoted husband Anthony, and loving son, Roger.
Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 South Central Avenue, Tracy is honored to serve the Traina Family. Funeral Services will be held in the chapel at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 19, 2025; with doors opening at 9:30 a.m. She will be laid to rest immediately following at the Tracy mausoleum, 8842 West Schulte Road, Tracy.
Chapel services will be live streamed via her tribute page at www.frymemorialchapel.com for family & friends unable to attend. An online guest book is also available for condolences and special messages to the family.
