Guadalupe "Lupe" Vielma

Guadalupe Vielma, lovingly known as Lupe, passed away on August 14, 2025, at the age of 64. He was born on May 26, 1961, in French Camp, California, to the late Frank Vielma Sr. and Antonia Aquino, and spent his entire life in Manteca, California, at the family home on 123 Stockton Street, where he lived alongside his beloved mother. Their bond was very close, and the love they shared remained at the center of his life. Lupe is survived by his siblings, Frank Vielma Jr. (Katherine), Grace Vielma, and Sandra Vielma. Though he did not have children of his own, Lupe was a second father to his nieces and nephews-Raquel, Janel, Frank III, Sandra, Gina, Genna, Alex, and Adan-loving and guiding them as if they were his own. To his great-nieces and great-nephews, he was affectionately known as "Papa." He also leaves behind several cousins and extended family members and friends who cherished him deeply. Lupe attended St. Joseph's Seminary in Mountain View, California, earning Master's degrees in Theology and Psychology. A man of faith, he shared God's love and guidance in simple, personal ways. He was someone to confide in one-on-one, always offering advice, support, or a listening ear. He never turned anyone away who knocked at his door and was always willing to help with paperwork or other needs. At family gatherings, Lupe brought joy and laughter, dancing with his cousins and siblings, filling those moments with celebration and love. We take comfort in knowing that Lupe is no longer suffering and is reunited in heaven with his beloved mother, the center of his world, surrounded by family who cherished him so dearly. The baby of the family, he is now embraced once more with the love and care that defined his life. Lupe will be deeply missed, but his legacy of faith, love, generosity, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
