Joe Oddo Obituary

Joe Anthony Oddo, 82, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2025, in Lodi, California. Joe was born on February 4, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan, to Anthony and Frances Oddo. From an early age, he embodied the values of love, patience, kindness, and unwavering support-qualities that defined his life and relationships. For 57 years, Joe shared a deep and enduring partnership with his beloved wife, Cherie. Their marriage was built on respect, understanding, and steadfast commitment. Together, they created a home filled with warmth and love. As a father to Erin Krause and father-in-law to Don Krause, Joe was a pillar of strength and guidance. He never missed a milestone in his daughter's life and was always present when his family needed him. Joes devotion extended to his grandchildren-Bridgette Lynn Smith, Lauren Kathleen Smith, and Austin Mark Smith-each of whom shared a unique and cherished bond with him. Also, had additions of Bonus Grandchildren Caitlyn Keane and Jacob Krause. His great-grandson, Smith Allen Crowson, brought him immense joy; their special connection was a source of happiness for both of them. Joe also held close relationships with his brother Anthony (Tony) Oddo and sister-in-law Roxanne Oddo. He was a loving Uncle to Nathan Oddo and Chris Oddo and welcomed Chris' wife Nicole into the family with open arms. His great-nieces Kylee, Brooklyn, and Jordyn were also dear to him. A man of faith, Joe was a devoted Christian who believed in one God-the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit-with Jesus as the Messiah and Savior. He attended First Baptist Church and lived out his faith through his kindness and generosity toward others. Joe found joy in life's simple pleasures-traveling to new places with loved ones, spending time on the golf course, running for both fitness and enjoyment, tending to his yard with care, and most importantly, supporting his grandchildren in all their activities. Whether cheering from the sidelines or offering words of encouragement after a long day, he was always there for them. At his core, Joe was a family man whose legacy lives on through those he loved most. His presence brought joy to every gathering; his wisdom provided comfort in times of need; his laughter filled rooms with warmth. Though he will be deeply missed by all who knew him, the love he shared remains everlasting in the hearts of those he touched. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
