Pablo Peña was born on March 14, 1939, in Durango, Mexico, and passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, in French Camp, California, surrounded by his loving family.
In 1987, Pablo immigrated from Mexico to Lathrop, California, where he built a life rooted in hard work, love, and dedication to his family. He was married to his beloved wife, Manuela Martinez Peña, who preceded him in death in 2023. Together, they shared a lifetime of devotion and raised a beautiful family built on strong family values.
Pablo was a man of many talents and an unwavering work ethic. He began his career as a dairyman and later became the proud owner of Pablo Peña's Landscaping, a business he successfully operated for more than 20 years. His hands shaped the earth in countless ways, whether through his meticulous landscaping or his passion for gardening. Pablo had an incredible green thumb and loved nurturing his fruit trees and vegetables, including avocados, peppers, and apricots. He was especially proud of his skill in grafting new trees, finding peace and joy while watering and tending to his garden.
A man full of life and laughter, Pablo loved music and was known for his great sense of humor. He brought joy to everyone around him and cherished every moment spent with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His family was truly the heart of his world.
Pablo is survived by his twelve children: Bernardo Rodriguez, Teresa Rodriguez, Lucas Peña, Martin Rodriguez, Polo Rodriguez, Robert Peña, Manuel Peña, Maria Peña, Cecilia Peña, Angelica Peña, Pablo Peña, and Mario Peña. He was the proud grandfather of 37 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, each of whom he held close to his heart.
He is also survived by five siblings: Eliseo, Nicholasa, Margarita, Ramona, and Laura, and preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters. He was also preceded in death by his beloved parents, Bernabé and Petra Peña, and his cherished grandchildren Maira, Ezequiel, Sarah, Richard and Bernabé.
Pablo will be remembered as a man of strength, humor, and compassion, a father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend whose love will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him
