Ann Sansom Obituary

Riverside - Ann Marie (Lindquist) Sansom, 84, beloved wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma and sister passed away Thursday, June 12th, 2025, in Riverside, California at her home of nearly 30+ years. Born and raised in St. Peter, Minnesota, she was the youngest of 12 children by Albert and Helmine (Minnie) Lindquist. She attended St. Peter High School and was a graduate of the "Class of 59". She went on to attend Mankato State University and received a BA in Education and taught school for a short time. She married Gerald Engberg, and they had four children: Geri Ann, Jeffrey, Mitchell and Jennifer. They later divorced. Ann Marie was a long-time sports fan and loved to watch her favorite teams on tv including the Dodgers, Lakers and Vikings. She was very active in her church and loved Word Search Puzzles. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, James Sansom, her four children, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also, her sisters Arlene Lindquist, Donna Chommie and brother Dennis and wife, Carol, plus many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday July 12th at Eden Lutheran Church and the interment will be July 14th at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, at 9:30 am.
