Verne Troyer

1969 - 2018

Verne Troyer, of North Hollywood, Calif., passed away at the age of 49 on April 21, 2018, surrounded by his family and close friends.
Verne was born Jan. 1, 1969, to parents Reuben Troyer Jr (J.R.) and Susan Marie (Yoder). Verne is survived by his parents; a brother, Davon (Amanda) Troyer; a sister, Deborah (Jeremy) Schultz; three nephews, Tyler and Alex Schultz and Mason Troyer; and two nieces, Kelsey Schultz and Peyton Troyer.
Verne touched many lives and had an amazing journey. He inspired people around the world with his drive, determination and attitude. Even though his stature was small and his parents often wondered if he'd be able to reach up and open doors on his own in his life, he went on to open more doors for himself and others than anyone could have imagined. He also touched more people's hearts than he will ever know. He loved making people laugh. He loved his friends and family and will truly be missed by so many.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Verne's life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2018, at Grace Christian Fellowship Church in Sturgis, with visitation from 1 p.m. until time of service.
