James Hebert Obituary

Funeral services for Mr. J.D. "Chop" Hebert, 74, of Sulphur, will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at 2 p.m. in the Robison Funeral Home Chapel. Minister Paul Evans will officiate. Burial to follow in Big Woods Cemetery.
Visitation for Mr. Hebert began Monday, April 20, 2009 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., and continues through Tuesday, April 21, 2009 beginning at 8 a.m. until time of service. Mr. Hebert passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2009.
Mr. James Hebert was very active in the South Sulphur Church of Christ. He was an avid fisherman, loved to cook, and played the guitar. Along with his family, he had a special friend, his little dog, Lil' Bit, that he loved dearly. He could really liven up a room when he told his jokes and make you laugh until your sides hurt.
Mr. Hebert was preceded in death by his first wife, Bernice Ann Hebert; his parents; one daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Miller; and one sister.
He is survived by wife Joan Hebert of Sulphur; four sons, Eugene Hebert and wife Leasa Hebert of Oakdale, CT, Clarence Hebert of Sulphur, David Hebert and wife Deirdre of Houston, TX, and Fred Hebert and wife Missy of Sulphur; three daughters, Mary Ann Picard and husband Roland of Rayne, Christine Gore and husband Marty of Glenn Rose, TX, and Elizabeth "Peanut" Tregre and husband Larry of Luling; stepson Stephan Dabek and wife Sophia of Acworth, GA; sister Claudette Pago and husband T.J. of Sulphur; 19 grandchildren and four great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Louisiana Alzheimer's Association.

Hebert family – words cannot express the loss that you feel. I hope that you find peace in knowing that your father is with his Lord and Father in heaven. Although I am many miles away, my heart and prayers are with each of you. I know that you will find a way to celebrate your dad and enjoy all of the wonderful memories of him. My love is with you all.
