Edward Anderson Obituary

Edward Elmer Anderson, 93, of Bloomington, passed peacefully on June 5, 2025.

Born in Litchfield, MN in the house his father built. Raised in Litchfield and Duluth. Graduated from MN School of Business. He was a staff sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Korean War stationed in Denver, CO for two years and in Tokyo, Japan for two years. Married Joanne Washburn in 1957 and they had two daughters. Ed worked at Paine Webber for 35 years and retired as Regional Operations Manager. Ed was very skilled at carpentry and built furniture, birdhouses, remodeled their home and helped friends with projects. He volunteered at Gethsemane Episcopal Church for many years.

Preceded in death by parents Hannah and Elmer Anderson and wife Joanne Anderson.

Survived by daughters Becky Anderson and Nancy (Paul) Dorsey, grandchildren Becca (Matt) Schmitz and Jake Dorsey and great-granddaughter McKenna. Beloved dad and grandpa(G) will be greatly missed.

Memorial service on June 20, 11am, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 8600 Fremont Ave. S., Bloomington, MN 55420. Private interment.
