Lorraine H. (Herrmann) Feltmann was born on July 11, 1932, on the Wolter Family Farm in Young America Township, Carver County, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Mike A. and Helena (Wolter) Herrmann. Lorraine was baptized in August of 1932 by Rev. Oriesen and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 11, 1946, both at St Paul's Evangelical Reformed Church in Hamburg, Minnesota. Lorraine received her primary education at the District #41 Country School in rural Norwood Young America.

On September 17, 1950, Lorraine was united in marriage to Leonard Feltmann by Rev. Oriesen at St. Paul's Evangelical Reformed Church in Hamburg. Lorraine and Leonard made their home on a farm in rural Young America. Their marriage was blessed with one son, Richard. Lorraine and Leonard shared over 33 years of marriage before Leonard passed away on August 26, 1984.

Lorraine was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She helped Leonard around the farm for many years. Lorraine also worked with her sister, Diann, at the Republic/Northwest Airlines retail store for 7 years. Following that, she worked at Young America Corp. for a number of years. Lorraine was an active member at St. John's Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America. She also participated in 4-H for 24 years.

Lorraine took great pride in caring for and raising their farm animals. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting doilies, and crafting. She enjoyed traveling and snowmobiling during the winters. She spent her downtime drawing and coloring. Spending time with family and friends was something she truly enjoyed. Blessed be her memory.
