Robert Steinhagen Obituary
Mass of Christian Burial held Monday, August 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Community (41 E 1st St.) in Waconia with Father Stan Mader as Celebrant of the Mass. Visitation one hour prior to the Mass. Interment in the church cemetery.
Bob was born March 19, 1931 in Waconia, MN, the son of Anton and Ida (Tester) Steinhagen. He was Baptized and later Confirmed at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waconia. There, he also attended school and started farming alongside his mom and dad. He milked cows until 1995. He then began bagging groceries at Mackenthuns. Bob remained there for 23 years until retirement. Shortly after, in 2001, he discontinued crop farming. Bob took great pride in his work and enjoyed keeping the farm neat and well trimmed. He appreciated company from his neighbors, friends, and family. To Bob, everyone was a friend and easy going nature was beloved by all.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Ida Steinhagen, and brother, William Steinhagen.
Bob is survived by many cousins and other loving relatives.
Casket Bearers are Jim Steinhagen, Richard Tester, Warren Tester and Ken Schwinghammer.
A special thanks for the care provided by the staff at Auburn Meadows, Auburn Home, and Ridgeview Hospice.
