William Cook Obituary

William "Bill" Burdette Cook, 75, of Chanhassen, MN, passed away peacefully at home on November 9, 2025, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. A devoted husband, father, and civil engineer, Bill will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Born and raised in Minnesota, Bill's life took him across the U.S. and Europe before earning bachelor's and master's degrees in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University. There, he met his wife of over 50 years, Laticia "Tish" Davis. Together, they raised two children, Chad and Emily, and built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure.

Bill's career was dedicated to improving public infrastructure nationwide. In retirement, he served on the Greenwood City Council and the Lake Minnetonka Conservation District, while enjoying hobbies like fishing, Vespa rides, and travel.

He is survived by his wife, Tish; children, Chad (Katie Lail) and Emily (Oliver McMillan); siblings, Roger Cook, Sarah Cook-Burton, and Martha Keaveny; and many beloved family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elizabeth Cook, and sister, Terry Cook.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 301 County Road 19, Excelsior, MN, on December 5, 2025. Visitation at 10 a.m., service at 11 a.m., with lunch to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in Bill's memory.
