It will be 1 year ago, tomorrow, that our beloved "Nana" left this earth and returned to her Lord and the Love of Her Life, Bruce! It has been a long, arduous year, but at the same time, it flew by because of business, commitments and responsibilities. Let us pause all of that for a few minutes tomorrow to remember what a wonderful woman, mother, friend and matriarch Eleanor Williams was to all of us during her(and our)lifetime together. We are all much better people just for having had her in our lives. I will forever be blessed to have the privilege of calling her "MOM!" Rest in Peace, MOM!

Mom it was the greatest honor to have you call me son. And not son inlaw.I will always remember that last day when you worried about my birthday present. Mom my birthday gift was that you suffered no longer and for the sickness to be gone and I give you your life with Bruce back and great happiness. Mom I will remember you always. As the day you were laid to rest is the day of my birth 8-12-13. Mom I will be there for your Daughter and the Grand kids so just don't you worry. Love ya Mom Bubba

Mom, you have the best "dash" of anyone I have yet to meet in my lifetime...

HOW DO YOU LIVE YOUR DASH

I read of a man who stood to speak
At the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
From the beginning...to the end.

He noted that first came her date of birth
And spoke the following date with tears,
But he said what mattered most of all
Was the dash between those years. (10/12/1934 - 08/06/2013)

For that dash represents all the time
That she spent alive on earth...
And now only those who loved her
Know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not, how much we own;
The cars...the house...the cash,
What matters is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash.

So think about this long and hard...
Are there things you'd like to change?
For you never know how much time is left, That can still be rearranged.

If we could just slow down enough
To consider what's true and real,
And always try to understand
The way other people feel.

And be less quick to anger,
And show appreciation more
And love the people in our lives
Like we've never loved before.

If we treat each other with respect,
And more often wear a smile...
Remembering that this special dash
Might only last a little while.

So, when your eulogy's being read
With your life's actions to rehash...
Would you be proud of the things they say, About how you spent your dash?

I must say that my momma now has a true friend and gossip partner in crime. Words can never express how much you meant to everyone but know you changed everyone's life that you touched!!

Nana,
You were such an amazing woman. I cannot thank you enough for everything you've ever done for me. I love you so much and I miss you more as every second passes. I love you with all of my hankies and my boogers. "I'll take away all of your sadness and fill your heart with gladness"
I love you so much.
I'll see you soon.
