Mr. Griffon was a true Christian gentleman. He was the sponsor for ALL of the boys in my confirmation class in the early 1950s, and he was our original PeeWee football coach for St. Joseph's School. He was our trusted family pharmacist, and more than that, a kind and helpful friend of the family. God rest his soul.

Mr. Griffon was a good soul. I remember well shopping at his pharmacy and buying snacks there when I worked next door at The Book Boat. He was a treasure and will be sorely missed.

I met Papa when Skip took us to his beloved coast and showed him off to us. I don't think a man could have loved or been more proud of his grandpa than Skip was. He will be missed but what a beautiful legacy he leaves behind. We send our love to his entire family and thank God for his life and all he gave to others while he was here with us.

I worked for the Griffons part time at their drug store through most of middle and high school. Mr Griff helped me purchase the engagement ring I gave to my now wife, Barbara, to whom I've been married for over 57 years. I think of the Griffons every time I look at her ring.

What a wonderful man! I will forever remember the warm greetings of welcome he and Mrs. Griffon bestowed on me whenever I went to visit them when I was home. I am blessed to have known him.

Oh, Marsha, I will miss your Daddy so much.....he's the last of "the Dads". No more big, tight bear hugs, but I'm so glad to have that video of his last birthday with that card....wow, what a great smile.
My love and sympathy to you and all your brothers and sisters from the bottom of my heart.
He is celebrating with your Mama in Heaven.
Love, Erin

Mr. Griff was my coach in little league ball. I never forgot what a good guy he was. The last time I saw him he gave me the rosary ring that I use every day. I'll miss him a lot.

I am so sorry to hear about Papa Grif's death. He was a wonderful man that no matter who or what you were, he would always say hello and ask how you are doing. Papa Grif was never too busy to stop and half a bit of a talk. I remember him and his wife being a large part of my sisters and my life. He and his family welcomed us with open arms and looked at us as their grandchildren/nieces. I know that we will miss him more than we can say, but I know that he is were he wants to be. Tell Momma Grif I said hello and send my love. :) I will always love and miss you!

Jim and I were so sorry to hear of Papa Griff's passing. He was such a wonderful man and was kind to everyone. We will be there on Friday to honor him and to celebrate the life example he showed to everyone, but especially to us. May the Lord comfort you.

I am so sad to hear that Griff is gone. I know Heaven is rejoicing that he is there though. He was truly one of the sweetest men around next to my own Papa and I had so much respect for him. He was such a blessing and a help to me when I lost my Pop. I am praying for you all. Love and blessings.
