James Alfred "Jo Jo" Brown, the sixth child born to the late Emmett and Lonnie Brown, was born in Montrose, MS. James was a 1971 graduate of M. F. Nichols High School. He took his one and only trip to Niagara Falls, NY after he graduated and had so many fond memories. Without warning on November 1, 2014 a flower was plucked from our garden and over beloved "Jo Jo" was called from labor to reward at the age of 61.
He loved having family gatherings, collecting cars, taking pictures and videos, helping with projects, and giving nicknames to his nieces and nephews. His favorite song was "God's Grace" by Trinitee 5:7. Early in his life he knew that it was God's grace that sustained him with the lengthy illness that he had to endure. He lived his life through his family and never once complained about anything. "Jo Jo" was our rock, our strength, and our inspiration.
He leaves to cherish his sisters: Mary Burbridge of Biloxi; Clotee Robinson of Niagara Falls, NY, Edna Woodley of Los Angeles, CA and Mildred Brown of Ocean Springs; brothers: Arthur Brown and Charles Brown both of Biloxi; a devoted niece and caregiver: Laurie Thompson and a host of other nieces, nephews, and relatives.
Services will be 11AM Friday, November, 7, 2014 at St. Paul UMC. Visitation will be at the church two hours prior to service time.

On be half of the Brown Family...we thank everyone for your love, support and prayers during this time.Uncle Joe was a very sick man that never complained but was loved and taken care of. He he finally resting and is at peace. God Bless him for a job well done. Blessings to you all!
