John Crawford Wiggin Sr.

July 22, 1940 - April 11, 2025

Saucier, Mississippi - John Crawford Wiggin Sr., 84, passed away peacefully, at his home on Friday, April 11, 2025, surrounded by love and held dearly in the hearts of his family and friends. His parents, Anne Shirk and John David Wiggin; and siblings Marianne, Arlene, David, and Bill preceded him.

John is survived by his wife of 44 years, F. Beatrice Wiggin (Shaw); and six children: Joanna Robinson Wiggin, Anne Shirk Wiggin, Anderson Hubbard Wiggin, John Crawford Wiggin Jr. and his wife Lisa Renée Wiggin (Keel), Sean C. Wiggin Sr., and April Victoria Wiggin and her husband Jeremy Altman. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Holly Wiggin Clark, Zachary Parker Wiggin, Joshua Ryan Wiggin, Amanda Lee Wiggin, Sean C. Wiggin Jr., and Rylan Randall Wiggin.

John lived a life defined by a profound sense of purpose. Born on July 22, 1940, in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, he embarked on a new adventure when his family moved to Gulf Stream, Florida, in 1949. This transition introduced him to a vibrant coastal lifestyle, igniting his passion for boating and fishing. The waters of Bimini became the setting for countless cherished memories, shaping the joyful experiences of his life.

Education was essential in John's upbringing, with his early schooling at Gulf Stream Private School and Preparatory Academy laying the groundwork for his future. His decision to join the United States Navy at 17 not only demonstrated his commitment to serving his country but also marked the beginning of his exploration and appreciation for the vastness of the ocean. During his naval service, John gained invaluable skills and experiences, forming the basis of many future endeavors.

Following his military service, John entered the banking industry under the guidance of Anderson Hubbard, shaping his professional trajectory. His evolution from a novice banker to a Federal Bank Examiner reflected his strong work ethic and natural aptitude for finance. However, true to his adventurous spirit, John transitioned into Owner/Operator, JCW Trucking, reveling in the freedom of the open road while managing his own small fleet of trucks.

John's entrepreneurial spirit flourished as he recognized opportunities for growth in various industries. His founding of Mobil 1 Commercial Wash Est 1987, in Gulfport, Mississippi, showcased his ability to envision unique opportunity in untapped markets. The family business now entering its 39th year serving the entire Gulf Coast.

Beyond his career, John cherished time spent with family. He found immense joy in camping and traveling the highways of America.

John encouraged values of resilience, ingenuity and integrity. His hands-on approach, from knot tying to innovative craftsmanship, illustrated his belief in the importance of hard work and self- discipline and motivation.

John will be remembered not only for his accomplishments but also for the warmth and love he shared with those around him. His legacy will continue to live on through the lives he touched, the businesses he built, and the family that carries forward his spirit of adventure and dedication.

Memorial services will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi, Mississippi on May 5, at 11 a.m.
