Kelly Bourdeau Obituary

Kelly JoAnne Bourdeau

September 21, 1959 - April 29, 2025

Kissimmee, Florida - Kelly JoAnne Bourdeau, 65, passed away peacefully in her home in the early morning hours of April 29, 2025. She was born on September 21, 1959 in Roswell, NM to Joseph Oliver Bludnick and Connie (Hughes) Bludnick, who have both preceded her in death.

She was the pillar of strength for her family and the hero of her children. Her passing leaves an unfillable and unimaginable void.

Kelly is survived by her husband of almost 41 years, Jonathan A. Bourdeau, their three children, Lyndsey Bourdeau-Martin (Chris Martin), Sydney Aulisi (Tyler Aulisi), and Jonathan W. Bourdeau, and one grandchild, Lucca Aulisi. She is also survived by her siblings, Kim Henderson, Kris Rutherford, and Kerry Bludnick, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Kelly graduated from Pass Christian High School in 1977, then joined the U.S. Army Reserves. In 1983, she was transferred to active duty. She then met her husband, Jonathan at Fort Dix, in New Jersey. They were married a year later in Schwetzingen, West Germany, where they were both stationed.

Upon returning to the states, Kelly remained in the army. Her military decorations included: Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, U.S. Army Gold Recruiter Badge with 2 Sapphire Achievement Stars. She retired honorably in 1996.

In 2001, Kelly received her BA in Nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi. She began studying at George Washington University in 2009, while also working full time and undergoing cancer treatments. She received her Master's Degree in 2011 and embraced her new career as a nurse practitioner. Even during all of these life trials, she never lost her passion for life or her love for her family. As busy and stressful as life could get, she never missed a chance to spend time with her children whether to attend their sporting events, bake cookies, or just sit and talk.

Kelly shared her kindness and compassion to everyone she met. To know her was to love her. She was a beloved daughter and sister, a loving wife and mother, and a fierce and loyal friend. She will be profoundly missed.

Condolences to Kelly's family and friends. I feel a kindred to her because I was living in Roswell, New Mexico in 1959 and we share a location together. Prayers to all that knew her!!!!!
