Metairie, LA
Kevin James De La Hunt, age 58, passed away at his Metairie home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, May 26, 2016. He was a native of Gulfport, MS, a graduate of Gulfport East High School (1976) and a New Orleans area resident for the past 40 years. He attended the University of New Orleans, and was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He was a career banker, formerly with First NBC, Whitney, Omni, and Iberia Bank at the time of his death.
He is the son of the late Duane and Betty Noy De La Hunt. Stepson of Roma De La Hunt and Curley Cole. Brother of Robert (Vanessa), Linda (Rob) Reed, Carol (David) Peterson and Mark (Catherine) De La Hunt. Also survived by 12 nieces and nephews, 6 great nieces and nephews, and his two dear friends, Helen Meyer and Evelyn Trahan.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 6425 W. Metairie Ave., Metairie, LA on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 2:00 PM, with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM. Private interment in Garden of Memories. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Ochsner Foundation (Kidney Transplant Fund), 1514 Jefferson Hwy, B.H. 607, New Orleans, LA 70121.
