Ms. Marilyn Vanacore, 71, of Biloxi, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, October 22, 2018.
Marilyn was born on May 16, 1947 in Morrilton, Arkansas to the late Vernon Pruitt and Estelle Stone (Gibby). At the age of 62, she retired from her facilities management position at Keesler Air Force Base. This allowed her more time to enjoy family and friends, as well as her passion for BINGO, Mardi Gras, Church, Elvis music, year-round Christmas trees, and casinos.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon Pruitt and Estelle Stone; her beloved sister, Carol Ezell; and her brother, Robert Pruitt.
Survivors include her six daughters, Tambra (Tammy) Laughlin, Michele Ballert (Michael), Dina Retseck (Mike), Amber Harvey, Jamie Lynn Fletcher, Dreama (Paige) Godinez (Jose); three brothers, Jimmy Pruitt, Wendell Pruitt, and Ronnie Stone; two sisters, Trudy Baker and Tammy Pruitt; thirteen grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Friday, October 26, 2018, with a Celebration of Life Service at 5:00 PM at Southern Mississippi Funeral Services, 6631 Washington Avenue, Ocean Springs, MS.
