Mary Lela (Havens) Hatten died peacefully on March 18, 2017 in Vancleave, Ms., at the age of 90.

Mary was born on September 27, 1926 in Vancleave, Ms., to William Charles Havens and Helen Joanna Roberts. She was a lifelong resident of Vancleave and a member of Ft. Bayou Baptist Church. She was an employee of Ocean Springs Hospital from where she eventually retired.

Mary is preceded in death by her daughter Brenda Evelyn Ferrier and her son Stacy Hatten. She is survived by her daughter Edith Goff; her 3 sons, Wiley E. (Linda) Overstreet, Norman P. (Rhonda) Overstreet and Paul L. (Julie) Overstreet; 22 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 5 great great-grandchildren.

A funeral is scheduled for Friday, March 24, 2017 at Ocean Springs Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit one hour prior. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery. View and sign register book at www. bradfordokeefe.com

So sorry of the passing of Ms Hatten. She will be missed by all of us at Fort Buyou Baptist Church. She surely touched us all. Boy did she know the bible. And her love for the Lord. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family she's in heaven they have a sweet angle.
