1929-2015

Navarre, FL

Nan Prettyman, age 85, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, March 25th 2015.

Nan is survived by her children, Michele P Holt, Wanda Stewart, Thomas Prettyman (Irina); Grandchildren Joshua Stewart; Courtney Prettyman, Nicol Justice (Aaron), Aimee Rosato, Olga Castaneda (Sam); great grandchild Leo; Sister Nettie Mae and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Nan was born August 20, 1929 in Moss Point Mississippi and married Ralph N Prettyman. She was an officer's wife and was a member of the various Officer's Wives' clubs and kept the family running smoothly during many moves. She was also a member of the Fort Walton Beach Women's Club.

After moving to Fort Walton Beach, FL, she worked as a jeweler for many years, starting at Vandegriff Jewelers and eventually buying her own jewelry store, Jane's Jewelers. She loved helping others learn about jewelry.

She loved gardening, traveling and helping others through life's little problems.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; sons in law, Raymond D Holt and Scott W Stewart.

Visitation will be held from 3-5 PM on Sunday, March 29th at Lewis Funeral Home, 7794 Navarre Parkway, Navarre FL 32566.

Funeral Services will be Monday, March 30th at 11 AM at Lewis Funeral Home, Navarre Chapel, with burial to follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery, Fort Walton Beach, FL.

The family wishes to thank Emerald Coast Hospice for their loving care provided to Nan during her last days.

Arrangements are entrusted to Lewis Funeral Home in Navarre.
