Curtis Earl Willis

Curtis Earl Willis, (Rookie, Rook) (60) of Phenix City, succumbed to Lung Cancer on July 23, 2021, surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife Marie Willis (Phenix City, AL), four children - James Earl Willis (Stephanie) (Mustang, Oklahoma), Elijah Zachary Andersen (Lois) (Eufaula, Alabama), Amy Dixon (John) (Phenix City, Alabama), Tyler Hicks (Alexandria) (Phenix City, Alabama). Three brothers – Nathan Thomas Williams (Donna) (Eufaula, Alabama), Curtis Lee Willis, Jr. (Orange Beach, Florida), Daniel Willis (Atlanta, Georgia), 1 sister – Betty Willis (Lake Elsinore, California) 10 grandchildren – Brooklyn Dixon, Curtis McGuire, Justice Willis, Abbigal McGuire, Jaxon Willis, Lana McGuire, Zoey Andersen, Mason Andersen, Maximus Willis, Cooper Hicks, several nieces, nephews, cousins.

Born on November 21, 1960, in Norwalk, California. He spent most of his childhood in Long Beach, California, moving to Georgetown, Georgia when he was 15 years old and settling in Eufaula, Alabama. A gifted mechanic, he enjoyed working on motorcycles and anything else that had an engine. He would eventually learn the trade of welding and that was his career for most of his life. Rook met the love of his life Marie back in 1988. However, life would get in the way until they finally got it right on November 6, 2015, when they were married at the Riverwalk in Phenix City, Alabama. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed taking his boat out on Lake Eufaula with his family.

His life will be celebrated on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at 1:00 pm – Addereth Apostolic – 1104-B US280, Phenix City, AL 36869 – (334) 614-2421
