Mr. Ray G. Clemons, age 73, of Dahlonega, Ga., died Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Atlanta following an extended illness.
Mr. Clemons was born in Summit County, Ohio on October 24, 1932. He had lived in Dahlonega for the past 7 years. He was a former resident of Gulfport, MS and Sarasota, FL. He was a retired cable TV executive and was a member of Dahlonega United Methodist Church. He was a Mason and was an U.S. Air Force Veteran.
He was the son of the late Harry and Esther Walls Clemons and was also preceded in death by an infant son.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Clemons, Dahlonega, Ga.; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Sherri Clemons, Dahlonega, Ga.; daughter and son-in-law, Kerri and John Morrison, Lawrenceville, Ga.; brother, James Clemons, Lakeland, FL; grandchildren, Keyle Clemons, Lindsay Morrison, and Kayna Raye Clemons and many other relatives.
Funeral Services for Mr. Clemons are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006 at the Dahlonega United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeffery Ross officiating. Interment will follow in Dahlonega Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 until 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Dahlonega United Methodist Church Youth or Wesley Group, P.O. Box 455, Dahlonega, GA 30533.
