Scott Kendall Ellsworth

May 17, 1962 - June 27, 2024

Long Beach, Mississippi - Scott Kendall Ellsworth, 62, of Long Beach, MS, unexpectedly passed away on June 27, 2024.

Scott was born at Keesler Air Force Base on May 17, 1962. He graduated from Gulfport High School in 1980 and attended MGCCC (Perkinston Campus) until 1982.

Scott was always an avid sports fan. In his youth, he ran cross country and umpired youth baseball and softball. At Perk, Scott was a football trainer. He was an Atlanta Braves fan and a New Orleans Saints fan, but his favorite pastime was watching NASCAR. He planned his days off to watch the big races.

At his passing, Scott was a driver for Crete Carrier Corporation. He had been a big rig driver for over 30 years.

Scott was predeceased by his parents, Wesley York Ellsworth and Lizabeth Ann Ellsworth.

He is survived by his siblings: Mariann Clayburg, Long Beach, MS; Belinda Kapaun (Frank), Newnan, GA; Lee Ellsworth (Michelle), Kansas City, MO; Dawn E. Layton, Acworth, GA; his children: Britny Knox (Brandon), FL; Kendall Meek, OH; Kelsie House, OH; His grandchildren, Beau and Brynn Knox; a host of loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

I remember Scott from the ninth grade. He was such a mischievous boy that I really liked and laughed at all the time.
