Sheila Beaugez, a resident of Waveland, Mississippi, slipped into heavenly peace on Thursday, July 1, 2004. Sheila was 45 years of age. She went on to MSUW in Columbus and graduated in 1979 having obtained a BSW in Social Work. Sheila worked several different jobs from 79-81 before starting her career with the United States Post Office. She began as Distribution Clerk in 1981 moving on to Management Trainee in l983. Sheila was selected as one of the Outstanding Young Women of America in 1985. Sheila served as postmaster in Madison, MS in March 1985 through April, 1996. She returned to the coast and was Supervisor of Customer Service in Pass Christian until the position of Postmaster became available in February 1998 and she took that position. In May 2001, Sheila got the position of Manager of Post Office Operations, Jackson District and remained there until her passing. Sheila received numerous awards during her career some being Suggestion Award Sept. 83, Letter of appreciation Feb. 84, Sick Leave Award Oct. 87, Certificate of appreciation Oct. 96, Special Achievement Award Oct. 98, Diversity Outstanding Team Player Award Fiscal Year 2002, Outstanding AMS Database Mississippi District Fiscal Year 2002 and Mississippi District Excellence Award, Best Performance Fiscal Year 2002, Merit performance evaluations in 1997, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003,- rating "Far Exceeds."

Of these 86 award winners, 16 were recognized for outstanding for the second consecutive year, again Sheila was among the 16. In fact, Sheila was recognized for outstanding performance all three years that she held the position of Manager Post Office Operations for the South Area. Sheila, I just today learned of your death. It has been too many years. Where did the time go? I remember you leaving for college and coming home that first summer, but after that, we lost touch. I remember playing in your yard as a child and my dad bringing all those cokes you and Sandra drank out in the shed. I am sure you are with angels watching over everyone and I would like to extend my deep sympathy to all your family. May you rest in peace.

Sheila,,,,,,,, my heart hurts so much right now, I just wrote a note to Barbara and now one for you. OMG, this should not be happening but it is.
The memories of Christmas with you are way too many to write. But I do remember you loving your guns and holster..lol.. while I loved my dolls.. now that is funny. You were so little and wide eyed. I loved when we would run out of the house when certain ones came in so we would not have to kiss them Merry Christams.. we would laugh so much... and all of the cokes and 7-ups we would drink in the shed. Mama would freak out and we would swear we didn't do it. I miss you Sheila more and more,, it never gets better. I am so thankful for the life we shared, it was even better after you had Hunter and Taylor. Thanks for letting me be part of their lives like you did. You gave me a life I would have never known had you not had the boys. You always made me such a big part of everything.. I love you and would love to have just one more minute with you right now. If only you would walk in my back door like you used to.. I never dreamed their would come a day when that would not happen..it never crossed my mind. Thank you for giving me all that you did. I cherish every second of our lives together.
Before I go I must tell you that every Saint's game never goes on with us talking about you and how you'd be so proud,, you never gave up on them.
Super Bowl bound.

Oh my gosh Sheila,
The getting together with friends for your tournament was great. The weather however with all of it's gusts just about did me in. My golf game is non existent and with your boys playing behind me, I really wasn't sure that I would finish. I was so proud that they won, not only because they are yours and they are great golfers, but I didn't feel so bad holding them up all day. I also found 2 cards that I am going to have framed for the boys. What you wrote to them was so loving and encouraging. Sheila you were by far the best Mother I have ever watched raise her children. You always, always, always put them first.

Today is Hunter's 16th birthday.
He is such a wonderful and caring guy. I know that you are so proud of him for standing up for what he believes in even when he is out numbered.
I remember the second he was born as we stood outside the birthing room. Mama, Me, Rhonda, Stacey and Amie waited with the camera rolling.
Thank GOD that Katrina did not get that video. You were so proud of your baby boy, it was by far the happiest day of your life. You were the best MOTHER I have ever seen. You always put Hunter and Taylor first in your life. You participated with them in every activity they wanted. You went the extra mile to make sure that they had a happy childhood built around them not around you or any other person or thing. They had the best Mom as you opened your home to all of their friends at anytime of the day or night. Your house was the house that all the kids wanted to be at all times.
Sheila you did an awesome job being a Mother.. you were the best.
I know that GOD needed you for something special but that does not ease the pain of you not being here.
No one can take your place to those that love you.
I miss you dearly my sweet sis.

Today is Taylor's 17th birthday and of course it reminds me of how proud you were when he was born. You loved him so much and did everything for him. He wanted his last name to be Beaugez so badly..lol.
When I spoke with him today I reminded him of just how much you loved him and he said with a sad voice " I know"... he misses you too Sheila.
Josh Peterson was killed yesterday in a 4 wheeler accident. I had several phone calls telling me about it and that you coached him...
The boys are really sad about this accident.
Sheila it has been almost 4 years since you left us and still so often parents remind me that you were so important to their children,,, you did such a good job with so many folks.
You truly did GOD'S work, I know he smiled everytime you made a child smile.
I miss you Sis,
Sandra

It has been really hard for the last couple of weeks,,, I see you every place I go,, in someone or something.
If tears could build a stairway to HEAVEN I could be there in a flash.
