Atmore, Alabama - William Henry Irwin, Jr. (Duney) was born in Gulfport, Ms., on August 2, 1950. He was 72 years old. He died on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at the home of his daughter in the presence of his family, from complications of a stroke. He is preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Stockstill Irwin, his father, William H Irwin, Sr., 2 sisters, Sandra & Debbie, & a brother, Guy Benny Irwin.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy Herring Irwin, his son, Billy (Jan) Irwin & his daughter, Anitra (Chad) Parker.
He has 8 grandchildren: Joseph (Emily) Parker, Chelsea Parker,Caitlyn (Tyler) Jackson, Jaycee Parker, Ashlyn Parker,Zach (Katlyn) Irwin, Nick Marton, and Olivia Marton. 5 great grand children: Braxton & Livi-Scott Parker, Brynlee Parker, and William Irwin. He is also survived by his siblings, Manfred Gene Ungaro, Linda (Wesley) Williams, Lonnie Irwin, Forchie Hall, & Angie Ladner plus numerous nieces &nephews.
A memorial service will be planned in the future.

I worked with Mr.Irwin at Treasure Bay, had a lot of dealings with him, some times we didn't see eye to eye,but most of the time I loved the big guy.he was a helpful,smart,and funny guy and I'm glad I got to know him. He is with Jesus now and in a very good place,God bless...
