Alan Brandt Obituary
Trey very unexpectedly passed away in his Stuart apartment on November 29, 2023, age 52, leaving behind his deeply bereaved parents, Connie and Peter, brother Kevin, and sisters Megan West and Amy McCrory, their respective spouses, seven nieces and nephews, and his legions of valued friends and acquaintances, both here in South Florida and elsewhere around the country who will especially miss his unsurpassed humor and collegiality.
He was a proud graduate of Cardinal Gibbons HS, later graduating from New England College, Henniker, NH, where he was the campus radio DJ for several years. Self-taught saxophonist, clarinetist, and drummer, he was especially fond of jazz music, and very knowledgeable about its history and artists.
Above all, his faith, his mother's abiding love and his service as a former member of the 82ND Airborne Division were his personal crown jewels.
A requiem Mass is scheduled at Saint Coleman Church, Pompano Beach, FL on January 6, 2024, 11AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Father Bob's All Saints Catholic Mission (Soup Kitchen), 3460 Powerline Road, Oakland Park, FL 33309.

I just found out that Trey passed away at mass this Sunday 5/21/25. I'm so sorry that I missed his funeral. I didn't know. I came to Gibbons as a junior and didn't have a date for homecoming so a friend suggested that I ask Trey. We had a blast and he made me feel so comfortable at school. Everyone loved Trey! He made everyone smile. I have such fond memories of Trey. I was so glad that he came back for our 10 year reunion and we had a chance to catch up. I wish I could have connected again. He will be missed. Please reach out to me.

I will forever remember Treys humor, love of life, and every year in middle school egging Nicole, Maria and I on Halloween. God bless all his family and friends. Rest in Heaven Trey and make them laugh up there!
