Alice Varvoutis Obituary

Alice Varvoutis of Coconut Creek, FL, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2022, at the age of 83. She was born on June 7, 1939, in Manhattan, NY, to her parents Esteban Ferrer and Josephine (Reventos) Ferrer. Alice lived around the world in places like Staten Island, Colombia, and Jordan, before settling down with her husband Ernest Varvoutis. They moved to Coral Springs, FL, in 1969, where they would go on to raise their three children - Ernest, Anne, and Sandra.

Alice worked at Coral Springs Middle School and taught Spanish at night school at JP Taravella and Coral Springs Community School. She had a big heart, tremendous sense of humor, and loved FSU football. Her most cherished times were spending time with her family and friends and she loved nothing more than watching her grandchildren grow up.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents, as well as her husband Ernest, who passed in 2016. She is survived by her three children, Ernest Varvoutis III, Anne Menefee, and Sandra Davis; her six grandchildren, Lindy Menefee, Charlie Menefee, Bailey Davis, Emma Davis, Arianna Varvoutis, and Dimitri Varvoutis.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Alice's honor to Old Dogs Go To Helen, a Senior Hospice Dog Rescue.
