I still can't believe Andrew is no longer here. The past four years have gone by so quickly. Everyday I think of my friend, how much he'd enjoy getting into the middle of a political debate, what his views would be on today's world events .and how involved he was about animal welfare. I miss his wit and humor , I miss the days we spent as Editorial Staff assistants at The New Yorker. Most of all I miss him, a funny, energetic, brilliant man .

tt seems that Andrew has left his mark in many places and he will be sorely missed by colleagues, friends, family and four-legged friends as well. The world will be dimmer for this loss. My sincere condolences to all he touched and especially to the animals he helped that have no voice.

Andrew, thank you for being my friend. You were unique from the start. You had a way of looking at things from many angles. Your compassion and dedication was amazing. You still live in my heart, and I will still quote you and laugh at things that happened along our way that made us the friends we are today. xoxoox

Andrew will be missed my the OFA team in Hallandale. He truly was very bright, a magnificent writer and was a light worker for many causes. He loved Charlie's Italian cuisine and we enjoyed sharing and breaking bread with him. Another loss for us all will be his very extensive research and Political blog of each and every candidate on the Election Ballot. What a distribution base!!! I KNOW HIS MEMORY WILL ALWAYS BE WITH US.

My condolences to the Markoff family. I knew Andrew from The New Yorker magazine. He was amazing person, bright, witty and he had a great sense of humor. Kind to animals and generous of heart. One day at the magazine ,I was meeting a friend for lunch. My friend said that there was a mini crisis at her house, her kid sister wanted desperately to go to her High School senior prom. Now this sounds like average teen drama, but the young girl had been bullied throughout her school life for being "different". Andrew overheard our conversation and immediately volunteered to take my friend's sister to her prom. Andrew went about finding a beautiful dress, providing a head to toe makeover of make-up and hair, hired a limo, rented a tux and showed up at the door with a corsage, paying for everything on his Editorial Staff Assistant salary. The prom princess had the time of her life. Andrew Markoff , a fine human being whom I had the honor to know.

I adored Andrew. We talked politics, life, New York City vs. L.A., how much he really did not like Florida, his love of dogs, weather, books, movies, then some more politics. This is a terrible loss. Andrew: I'll see you in the next act.
