Anthony Ricci Obituary

Ricci, Anthony V. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for Anthony V. Ricci, of West Orange, NJ at St. John The Evangelist Church, Orange, NJ on Thursday, April 1, 2004, at 10 AM following a funeral at The CODEY FUNERAL HOME, 69 High Street, Orange, NJ. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, E. Hanover, NJ. A life long resident of West Orange, NJ and a part time resident of Long Beach Island, NJ, Mr. Ricci graduated from West Orange High School, class of 1933. During World War II, Mr. Ricci served in the US Army, being discharged in December 1945. He attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. For forty years, Mr. Ricci was the owner of Rolling Green Hills Landscaping Co., West Orange, NJ and was responsible for planting many of the trees that grace Essex County, NJ, He is survived by his wife Sally (nee Marucci); daughters Diane Hess and her husband George of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Carol Lisa Ricci of Millburn, NJ; a cherished grandson Franklin E. Hess II; a brother Carmine Ricci of West Orange, NJ, a loyal sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Marucci of Cedar Grove, NJ; a devoted niece Phyllis Canon and many other dear nephews and nieces. Mr. Ricci was a jack of all trades, master of all. He was always ready to use his time and talents to benefit those around him. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
