Arnold A. Broussard

Arnold Anthony Broussard passed away peacefully on December 4, 2018 at age 71. He was born in New Orleans, LA. He earned a BA degree from Tulane University & MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Early in his career, he was an Executive Assistant to New Orleans Mayor Ernest N. "Dutch" Morial, and he served as the Secretary of the Department of Revenue and Taxation for the State of LA. Arnold relocated to Florida in 1990 to become the Controller at Florida Atlantic University. Later, he provided business consulting, development, & leadership services to various organizations and also served as a board member for numerous professional & nonprofit organizations. Arnold was an avid music lover and played the euphonium, most recently with the Symphonic Band of the Palm Beaches. He has been described by his friends and business associates as a man of great compassion, honor, and integrity. Above all, Arnold was dedicated to his family. He is survived by his wife, Lorie Broussard; two children, Danielle Broussard & Darryl Gichia-Broussard (Njeri); two grandsons; two siblings, Bertrand Broussard Jr. & Carmen Broussard and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bertrand and Marion (Johnson) Broussard, and a sister, Victoria Broussard Allen. The family will hold a private celebration of his life.
