Barbara Sherwood Obituary

Sherwood Sherwood, Barbara Ann Price, of Fenwick Island, DE, passed on November 3, 2007 at her daughter's home with family by her side. Wife of Ed Sherwood; devoted mother of John Tolbert, Ann Marie Hamilton, Susan Fox and Christina Mangino; stepmother of Karen Moll and Donna Kelin; beloved grandmother of Greg and Chris Tolbert, Kevin Fox, Gordie, John, Charlie and Dasha Hamilton, Jack and Dominic Mangino, Sam Amanda, Olivia and Wyatt Moll. Barbara was born on May 2, 1938 in Wilmington, DE. She was raised in Arlington, VA. Where she graduated from Washington and Lee High School in 1956. She was the Football Queen and cheerleader. She received her B.A. in History from University of North Carolina in 1960. She was a devoted history teacher for over two decades. She used her creative talents in and out of the classrooms nd was known for her sharp intellect, her love of laughter and her grace. In her retirement she was an avid golfer. She spent her time in Delray Beach, FL and Fenwick Island, DE. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 10:00 am - 11:00 am and a memorial service at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home, 9902 Braddock Road., Fairfax, VA.

I knew Barbara for 20 years. I will miss her every time I go down to the bay or wen she wolk down to the beach particulary at our parties
She is forever in our toughts and our prayers.

I will always remember Barbara's huge smile and calming demeanor. She had numerous stories about her children and granchildren and was devoted to them even though many lived far away.
The Sherwoods were happy neighbors at Fenwick Island and I looked forward to catching up on news when we visited.
I am positive God loves Barbara.
