C.J. Cather

Cather, C. J., of Hillsboro Beach, FL, formerly of Delafield, WI & Oconomowoc, WI died Tues. Nov. 8, 2005. He was born 7/4/08 in LaFarge, WI to Henry Cather & Sara Cather (nee Riley, deceased). He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Vera Mae Cather (nee Field) who succumbed to cancer in 1968, his 2nd wife Marjorie A. Hoeft (nee Garlock) who died in 2001, and his granddaughter, Mary Harlow (nee Leonardi). He is survived by his children, Marjorie Leonardi (nee Cather) & her husband Joseph, and Jack Cather and his wife, Dorothy, his 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grand children. He graduated from Marquette University as a Registered Pharmacist. He remained a Registered Pharmacist until his death. In the 1930's he opened Cather's Drug Store in Delafield, WI where it was a town landmark until he retired & sold the building. He remained very active in his dual communities of Oconomowoc, WI and Hillsboro Beach, FL. In 2003 he moved permanently to FL. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His humor, spirit & love will live in our hearts forever. There will be a memorial serivice at the Community Presbyterian Church, 1920 SE 4th St., Deerfield Beach, FL 33441 @ 4 PM on Tues., Nov. 15, 2005. He will be buried in Delafield, WI. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Community Presbyterian Church.
