Carole Horowitz Obituary
Carole was born in New York to Irving and Bess Mann. After graduating North Miami High and the University of Miami, Carole married Lewis Horowitz (preceded in death). Carole was fortunate to be a teacher for many years with former students still reaching out decades later to express their great appreciation. After retiring, Carole devoted her life to her family.
Carole never lost her desire to impact the lives of others, remaining active in the Jewish Community. She was among the founding members of Bet Shira Congregation proudly serving within the Sisterhood as President. Carole remained active in the Chavurah she and friends started and continued for decades. Carole always prioritized the well-being and needs of others, cherishing the time spent with family and friends.
Carole is survived by her sister, Vicki (Hardy) Katz, daughter Alyse (Jonathan) Messinger, daughter Nissa (Lee) Mesnekoff, son Bill Horowitz (Priscylla Guimaraes), grandchildren Sabrina and Joshua Messinger, Isaac, Ivy and Benjamin Mesnekoff and Mila Horowitz, nephew Joey Katz, nephew Robert Horowitz (Amy Levin), niece Julie (Ken) Baker, nephew Andrew Horowitz, and grandnephews Jordan Katz and Cory Baker.
Donations can be made to the Temple Judea Cantorial Soloist Rozental's Mitzvah Fund or to Bet Shira Congregation Sisterhood.

Cathy and I just learned about Carole´s passing. Please accept our deepest, deepest sympathies. Carole was so special and had such a joyful and wonderfully warm way--always. She loved family more than anything. We saw that every time we were with her. She had the spirit of a 40-year-old. We are thinking of all of you. She will be missed so much. All our love.

I have lost not only a friend,but a "water " cousin!!!! We had a lot of laughs together. She will be missed greatly! A part of my family for so many years.Dear Carole,RIP
