Carolyn was my first real friend in Florida when I moved here more than twenty years ago. In typical Carolyn fashion, she reached right out because she could tell that I was new in town and just a little bit lost. Given that Carolyn was so beautiful, poised and popular, her extraordinary kindness caught me by surprise. It soon became clear that Carolyn was an incredibly special person. During our years of travel for trade events and sales missions, Carolyn was the colleague who kept everyone's spirits high and reached out to those who were feeling a bit down. Carolyn was blessed with a sixth sense for these things and would always appear in your moment of need. She has taught me so many things and touched my life in so many ways that I am grateful to have known her every single day.

I worked with Carolyn for the past 5 years and although I didn't know her on a personal level, clearly she was a wonderful person that brought a lot of happiness and light to her friends and family. I always enjoyed working with her and will miss her dearly. My sincere condolences to her friends, family and especially Travis.

Carolyn was like a sister to me. Im so glad we spent the time together we did in the last few years. She loved my home state of Iowa about as much as I do, which always surprised me for a Florida girl. I wll miss her but am glad her suffering is over

My Aunt Carolyn was someone truly special to me. She was so caring and kind to everyone she met. There was never a loss for conversation, because she was always open to hearing what you wanted to say and how you were doing. Ever since I was a little girl, I have dreamed of becoming a singer. Even from many states away, my beautiful Aunt Carolyn still cared to hear me sing. She always let me know that she believed in me, and would always ask to hear me sing over the phone. Carolyn's personality would shine through any bad day. She was so spunky and cheerful, and always gave everybody a good laugh. She could give anybody hope. My family says I'm a lot like my aunt. I'm so used to hearing, "Well goodness, you are just a spitting image of Carolyn!" ..and I hope people never stop saying that. She was an amazing person, and God is lucky to have her up there with Him. She was very near and dear to me, and I'm so grateful that when I'm living my life I have a beautiful guardian angel watching over me.

Carolyn was a lovely young lady that grew up in Westchester as the sweet and smart sister of my little brother Don's friends Art & Richard. I'm terribly sorry that she had such a battle with her illness but it sounds like it didn't slow her down for an minute. My sincere sympathy to Carolyn's family, I'm sure she will be missed and always remembered with love.
Sincerely,

I remember my Aunt Carolyn as a great woman who I had many lengthy phone calls with about many subjects. We could share ideas for 2 or 3 hours, many times forgetting what we were first talking about. Some of my favorite memories from my young childhood are of me attempting to beat her in the game of basketball. There were many games played between the two of us in our driveway and my only goal was to win but I never did. I would always say it was only because of her height advantage and she would just laugh and tell me I just had to work harder to win. She was a great aunt, a great person and she will be sorely missed. I love you Aunt Carolyn

I feel so fortunate to have had a dear friend with Carolyn's integrity, thoughtfulness, humor and beauty...however, class is what comes to mind whenever I think of her, from South Florida to Dallas, St. Croix to Hawaii, she was always such a classy person!
You took on the last 7 years of treatments with uncompromising dignity and courage.
Today, I am thankful for the friendship we had on earth and will have in eternity.

Carolyn was my SKAL buddy. It was always a joy to meet her for dinner at these hospitality industry events. She always had a HUGE smile which was totally contagious! No matter how busy she was with her life she always made time to come to these meetings and was always on time! (unlike me). She was a great friend and will be so very much missed.

Carolyn was my wonderful sister in law and the best Aunt to my children, Rick & Sarah. Carolyn would come to Texas and spoil her niece and nephew, whether they were coloring Easter eggs, playing basketball or just chatting, the kids were always laughing because she was such a joy in their lives. I will miss her beautiful spirit and smile. I know you are in the arms of the angels, you can rest peacefully.

I remember when I first started visiting Carolyn with my Dad and how much fun I would have with her. We used to drive around with the music playing and I got to ride in the front seat with her driving and I remember feeling so cool and lucky to have a sister like her. She also gave me a plush doll that I loved very much. I only wish I would have seen her more. I love you Carolyn and I'll see you in heaven.

I hardly knew Carolyn, but I remember a few tense hours in 1982, when she was a
flight attendant for Air Florida and a
report came on the radio of Air Florida
flight 90, Washington to Tampa, that was down in the Potomac, and I had no idea whether or not she would be on that flight. Luckily she wasn't. My sincerest condolences to her family, Frank and Travis, mother Millie, father
Art, brothers Art and Richard and to the many other family and friends who
have been touched so deeply by Carolyn. I couldn't say any more or any
better than has already been said by her son Richard and her many friends. If there angels, may you be a Star Brite among the bright stars. Uncle John.

I was good friends with Carolyn in the 80's and 90's. We spent lots of time at Biscayne Babies. She was a strong, confident woman who was a great and loyal friend. I have fond memories of the baby shower she hosted for my family and friends before the birth of my daughter almost 14 years ago! My condolances to her son and her entire family. She will be missed!

Carolyn was a beautiful woman inside and out. I'll certainly miss her energy and smile. My heart especially goes out to Travis and her best friend Diana, who shared Carolyn's wonderful energy on a daily basis. May you carry her light with you always.

My big sister, what can I say here that everyone who knew her does not already know? I will say I learned a lot about my sister in her final days here on earth. She has touched so many people she has come in contact with it was a constant flow of friends coming and going I felt like the front door needed to be replaced with a revolving door. She always tried to protect the ones she loved all the way to the end. I had some great conversations with her in her final days and she never lost her wit, I had to give her a pill that she didn't really like and she made a face and she proceeded to tell me "that's the face you would make when I used to feed you stuff you didn't want when you were a kid" we laughed for several minutes. She is now with her beloved Grandmother and will forever be in our hearts, fortunately we have a beloved part of her left behind in Travis who she loved more than anything in the world. I assured her several times that Travis will be cared for and she need not worry about that, Frank and Travis have a great loving relationship. The many friends of Carolyn's will also always be there for Travis. Carolyn will be missed so much it feels like she took part of my heart with her. I love you sis give grandma a kiss for me!

Carolyn and I have been friends since we were teenagers and she was the most loyal, giving and "true" friend, in every sense of the word, that I have ever had. Through our many years of ups and downs, I could always rely on Carolyn to give me a true assessment of any situation and I highly respected her opinion. There are so many admirable traits I could highlight about her, but what stand-outs right now to me would be her courage and fortitude to carry on the battle against cancer with grace and dignity; and through it all she never stopped caring and worrying about her friends and family.
Everyone who was a part of her life and those who have been touched by her in so many ways are very blessed. I believe Carolyn is at peace and will always be watching over us like she always has.
I will miss you terribly Carolyn. My sympathies go out to all those close to her.
