Cecelia M. Shepard

CECELIA M. SHEPARD (nee Matis) age 96, passed into the arms of Jesus on March 24, 2018 with her loving family at her side. She was the devoted and beloved wife of the late Stephen who she was together with for 70 years. The loving, caring and precious mother of Clifford (wife Colleen), Allan (wife Patricia) and Cynthia Busch (husband Lawrence). Adoring, loving and proud grandmother of Sara Whetzel (husband James Garvin, Jr.), Dr. Ryan Busch (wife Sherrie), Dr. James Busch (wife Dr. Lauren), Stephen Shepard and Christopher Shepard. As the much-loved great-gram of James Garvin Whetzel, III., Olivia Whetzel, Annabelle Whetzel, Lucas Busch and Myla Busch she enjoyed and cherished every moment spent with her 'grands'. A devoted daughter of the late Steven and Mary (nee Kaffan) Matis; dearest sister of the late Anthony and Frank Matis; dear aunt and great-aunt of many. Cecelia lived a long and fulfilling life filled with happiness in even the smallest things. Everyone who knew her will always remember what a sweet person she was and how she always brought happiness into their lives. She will be so missed but her spirit will live on in our minds and hearts. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Our Lady Chapel 34001 Cedar Rd, Gates Mills, OH 44040 at 9:30 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery.
