Charlotte T. Topping

POQUOSON - Charlotte Temple Topping, 94, a native of Poquoson and daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Firth, died Thursday, May 8, 2003. She has lived throughout Virginia as the wife of a Methodist minister, the late C. Traynham Topping, and was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church, Poquoson. Mrs. Topping is survived by her son, Larry M. Topping and his wife, Mary H.; four grandsons, Larry M. Topping Jr. and his wife, Diane, Parker T. Topping and his wife, Whitney, Wallace H. Topping and his wife, Kimberly, and William D. Topping and his wife, Jolyn; and 10 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton, by Rev. O. H. Burton Jr. Following the service, the family will be at the home, 236 Cedar Road. Memorial contributions may be made to Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 831 Poquoson Ave., Poquoson, VA 23662. Claytor Rollins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
