Daniel Gehron Obituary

Daniel Gehron (63), passed away March 27, 2023. He is survived by brothers James, Matthew, and Michael (Cheryl; daughters Laura, Carolyn, Julie and their families). He was predeceased by parents James and Jo-Ann Gehron. Dan was a very humble man and enjoyed and excelled in both sports and music. As a baseball player during his senior year at South Plantation High School, Dan led the county in hitting at various points in the season and finished the year with a .455 batting average. He was also their ace pitcher. Dan spent many a day with his brothers surfing up and down the east coast of Florida along with multiple trips to Cape Hatteras, NC and Puerto Rico. He and Matt were very active in the Junior Golf Association (JGA) at a very young age (6 and 4). They continued to play weekly into their adulthood at their favorite courses around Broward County, always as a two-some and playing out of the same bag. Dan once shot par (72) at old Plantation Country Club. He loved music and was a self-taught drummer and piano player. He was also the great-grandson of Frank and Eva Oliver, early Ft. Lauderdale pioneers. Dan will be greatly missed by his brothers, family and all who knew him. Dan was laid to rest on April 3, 2023 at City of Pompano Beach Cemetery.

I am one of his cousins! Julie Baldwin and I´ll always remember our trips to Florida to visit Uncle Jim/Aunt Joann and their family. His Dad was my Mom´s brother. Little Danny was so cute at those visits. My heartfelt condolences to his Family.
