David Anthony Bossman

1963 - 2023

David Anthony Bossman passed away in his sleep Wednesday March 15th, 2023 at home in Davie Florida. Never marrying, his partners throughout his life were his dogs, Rocky & Abbey who accompanied him, whenever and wherever possible; quietly living under his desk during workhours. An avid surfer from Indialantic, Florida, his past 12 years had been spent running Citywide Appliance Beverage and Vacuum in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where he loved his customers as much as they loved him. A Type 1 Diabetic (T1D) since the age of 3, he fooled all his cynics who said his life expectancy would not be past 30. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio April 27th 1963, he pushed the envelope constantly, and would have hit 60 this month. His singular complaint in life was he hated being a "…pin cushion…". Although he had no children, he was mostly at home with his nieces and nephews, Amanda (Kilian-Borzello) h/Andrew, Lucas (Kilian), Kevin (w/Sarah), Jason (w/Becky), Phillippe (w/Kim), James Jr. (w/Stacey), Robbie and 12 great nieces & nephews who each held a very special place in his heart. He is survived by an Uncle Larry (The Villages, FL) and two brothers, James Sr. w/Rose Mary (The Villages, FL) and Michael w/Patricia (Wetumpka, AL) and had a predeceased sister Susan (Kilian-Kabana). David is remembered by his family & friends, as kind and funny. He had a great laugh. He enjoyed telling stories and was always ready to lend a helping hand, sharing his mechanical skills to those in need. He often went out of his way to share kindness & good will. He will be missed. David will be interred at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Palm Bay, FL in the grave next to his sister Susan, at a later date. A Requiem Funeral Mass will be held at his parish, St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, 1301 SW 136th Avenue Davie, FL 33325 on Saturday, April 15th, 2023 at 11:00AM, followed by a celebration of his life with his family, in the Parish Hall. The family respectfully request in lieu of flowers, all donations be made to JDRF.ORG (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) in David's name.
