David Gant Obituary

David Eric Gant, 59, died after a courageous struggle with cancer on Monday, September 28 at his home in Plantation, FL surrounded by family and friends. Born on May 21, 1956 in Venezuela to Audrey and Jon Gant. He was a successful international senior executive for technology corporations working across Latin America. David is survived by his wife Nina Garlington, daughter Audrey and his son Eric and fiancé Aimee. He is also survived by his extended family; mother Susan, brothers and their wives Jon, Derek(Shawn), Steve (Karin), Scott (Meredith), father in law Henry and sister-in-law Kay Garlington, and nieces and nephews Colin (Katie and daughter Henley), Erin, Loren B, Alicia, Loren D, Patrick, Caroline, Cece, Abby, and Ellie. Funeral services will be held at the All Saints Episcopal Church in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. this Saturday 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any charity that supports reading due to David's love of literature, St Judes Children Hospital, or Ft Lauderdale's Habitat for Humanity. At a yet to be determined date, a graveside service will be held at the Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, GA.
